Among the most visible celebrities on TV who are engaged with brand endorsements, Virat Kohli has again topped the list with an average visibility of 10 hours as per the reports released by TAM. The list continues with names like Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor who marked their presence in the 2nd and the 3rd position with an average of 9 and 8 hrs respectively during the month of April to June 2020. The report speaks about the top 10 celebrities who have made their name in the world of brand endorsements for the period between Jan-Jun 2020.
Talking about the celebrity couples who are involved in brand endorsements, Anushka Sharma and Viral Kohli has topped the list with 26% share in the Ad Volumes whereas the 2nd and 3rd position goes to couples like Akshay Kumar/Twinkle Khanna and Kareena Kapoor Khan/Saif Ali Khan’ who had almost the equal amount of share in their Ad Volumes.
Ad Volumes for Anushka Sharma/Virat Kohli and Akshay Kumar/Twinkle Khanna went up to more than 40% of the volume of the total ad. The brands which were most endorsed and made it up to the Top 2, came from the Personal Care/Personal Hygiene and Food & Beverages sector. April – June 2020 saw a surge in the number of Film Stars for ads than the TV stars and the Sports Persons combined.
