Snapdeal Rolls Out ‘Pride of India’ e-store
Ahead of the country’s 74th Independence Day India’s leading value-focused marketplace, Snapdeal launched its ‘Pride of India E-store’. The e-store offers specially curated patriotic-themed items. It also has products from Indian artisans, weavers, craftsmen, and women entrepreneurs.
In the last 12 months, Snapdeal has added 75,000 MSMEs to the platform and now has more than 500,000 registered sellers on its platform. It delivers products to over 26,000 pin codes across India. The e-store has a huge variety of tri-colour clothes, flags, books on independence, and organic food. Vande Mataram slogan t-shirts and cushion covers are also available. There is a wide range of tri-colour printed collectibles like travel and tech accessories, fridge magnets, keychains, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and phone cases.
The e-store showcases the diversity and craftsmanship of India’s weavers and artisans. Jamdani, Bhagalpuri, Kantha, and Kancheepuram sarees besides Phulkari, Ikkat, and Bandhej dupattas from the textile-rich states of Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh are available. It also offers a rich collection of Kundan, Polki, Meenakari, Pearl, and Temple inspired costume jewelry. Moreover, there are various handicrafts, including wooden showpieces, wall décor items, metal handicrafts, and jute items representing the 29 states of India. In the e-store Copper jugs and bottles, among other traditional Indian utensils are also available.
It also features casual apparel from famous India-made brands like Mufti, John Player, Spykar, Cantabil, and Duke. Herbal hair and an extensive skincare range from Khadi is also on sale. Yoga accessories like mat and blocks used for age-old exercise were also added for its far-reaching benefits. The special promotion gives a boost to these indigenous Indian products.
Snapdeal spokesperson said, “India’s small businesses comprise the majority of the sellers on Snapdeal. These sellers have added thousands of new products on the e-store this year. This year, we included patriotic-themed collections, indigenous items, and products from famous local brands to the e-store. These are across categories like apparel, decor, fashion accessories, cosmetics, and fitness.”
