Info Edge names Himanshu Agarwal CFO, adds Naresh Gupta to board

Info Edge (India) has appointed Himanshu Agarwal as Chief Financial Officer and Additional Director with effect from 17 September, the company said in a regulatory filing following its board meeting on 14 September.

Agarwal is proposed to serve as Whole-time Director and CFO for five years, from 17 September 2026 to 16 September 2031, subject to shareholder approval. He joins as Key Managerial Personnel and will sit on the company’s Risk Management Committee and its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting Committee from the same date.

He succeeds Ambarish Raghuvanshi, who has been interim CFO since November 2025 and steps down at the close of business on 16 September. Raghuvanshi will stay on as Finance Advisor and Senior Management Personnel until 31 October to support the handover. Info Edge credited him with providing continuity through the interim period.

Agarwal has more than three decades in finance leadership, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and business transformation. He has held senior finance roles at ICI India, AstraZeneca Pharma India, AkzoNobel India, the flexible packaging division of Huhtamaki Oyj, and Bennett, Coleman and Co. He is a qualified chartered accountant, company secretary, and cost and management accountant.

The board also appointed Naresh Chand Gupta, former Managing Director of Adobe Systems India, as an Additional Director designated Non-Executive Independent Director for five years from 1 October, subject to shareholder approval. Gupta previously sat on the Info Edge board as an independent director until March 2023.
