They have also planned to invest $1.7 Billion to help the agricultural platform. “Coca-Cola remains grounded in its purpose to craft meaningful brands and offer its consumers a choice of drinks that refresh in body and spirit. Our long-term strategy entails offering more and more fruit-based beverages in line with consumer preferences. ]]>“Reserve Bank had examined the said reports and the responses of the NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) and was concerned that WhatsApp was storing some payment data elements outside India beyond the permitted timelines indicated in the circular and the Frequently Asked Questions on ‘Storage of Payment System Data’ issued by RBI on June 26, 2019,” read the statement issued by RBI.
But WhatsApp said that they have cleared it by having an independent third-party auditor certified by the Central government’s cybersecurity firm to prove that WhatsApp’s data localization is set up in accordance with payments.
WhatsApp maintains a huge market in India with 400 million users and so they have planned to introduce their new option here first. If launched, they will be competing with other apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay and so on. On that note, NCPI (National Payments Corporation of India) has confirmed that WhatsApp complies with the data localization norms and also announced that if the companies exceed their threshold percentage of payments, they will be penalized and asked to stop taking more customers.

The films are directed by Equinox Films.The campaign includes four 30 second films featuring young parents, grandparents, roommates and a doctor and depicts how they found support through their connections to help each other during the pandemic.
Avinash Pant, director, marketing, Facebook India, said the films are based on the human insight that ‘people are each other’s best resources’. “The world has changed over the past few months and the latest phase of this campaign draws inspiration from how people leaned into the power of their connections through the platform to navigate these unprecedented times. The few stories we have chosen can be anyone’s story,” he adds.
Recently a global brand campaign ‘It’s Between You’ for its messaging platform WhatsApp in India was also released by the company.

]]>Google’s parent company, Alphabet has seen a drop in their revenue but still crossed the expectations of Wall Street. The revenue has been recorded to be $38.3 Billion in this quarter beating what was expected which us $37.4 Billion. It accounts for a 2% decline from the last quarter.
The revenue of YouTube and Playstore have seen a considerable rise of 35 percent accounting to $5.12 Billion and Google Cloud with $3.01 billion. “Customers are choosing Google Cloud to either lower their costs by improving operating efficiency or to drive innovation,” said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google.
He also said that when every business was affected by this pandemic and the economy became fragile, they saw the early signs of stabilization as users returned to commercial online activities.
Alphabet’s other ventures like Experimental X lab and Waymo self-driving have also seen a downfall in their revenue. It dropped from $162 million to $148 million.

]]>GM’s move is a sign that the pressure on Facebook will continue in August and potentially longer. On Thursday, Unilever NV-owned ice-cream brand Ben & Jerry’s extended through the end of the year its halt of paid social-media advertising. Ford and Honda Motor Co.’s U.S. subsidiary also said Friday they have no plans to resume spending on Facebook.
In recent weeks it has paused placing ads on Facebook and is in talks with the company about improving efforts to eliminate harmful content on its popular platform GM said on Friday.
“We are not satisfied with the progress Facebook has taken to date and therefore have paused our media investment with the platform,” GM said in a statement. “We are encouraging them to move faster to implement meaningful change so that we can quickly return to a safer digital space that mirrors our brand values.”
Ford said it is evaluating efforts to curb hate speech on social media operated by Facebook and its unit Instagram Inc., as well as by Snap Inc., Twitter Inc. and TikTok Inc. platforms. The automaker announced it will resume ads on Alphabet Inc. unit YouTube and Pinterest Inc. after a 30-day pause.
“This is an ongoing evaluation and we will continue to monitor all platforms with checkpoints on progress towards our ad accountability agenda,” Ford spokesman Deep said in an email. “We will continue to be actively engaged with industry initiatives led by the Association of National Advertisers to drive more accountability, transparency, and trusted measurement to clean up the digital and social media ecosystem.”
GM said it was reviewing its marketing a month ago, when the #StopHateForProfit campaign started, many big corporations said they would stop advertising for the month of July.
During the pandemic the automaker qualified its Friday announcement by saying it already had cut its advertising, reflecting lower production and less traffic in showrooms. Its budget for Facebook advertising did not involve a large sum of money, said GM spokesman Jim Cain
