 Hindi News Channels are Advertiser’s Favourite

With this pandemic, the media industry suffered a great loss, and advertisement revenues fell so low in June. But according to the reports of TAM Adex-Television Advertising Reports-IX, the advertisements have increased in news channels in recent times.

News Channels are the most-viewed network in every household in these COVID times. As people couldn’t step outside, they have turned to digital mediums to know what is happening around them. As per the reports, there is a 19% rise in advertisements on news channels and hours of advertising increased to 2,410.

The ad volumes have increased to 32% in Hindi news channels. The hours grew to 767 from 666 in March. Most of the advertisers include health companies, agro-industries, and sanitizers which get rapid attention in these times. Bengali news channels have also witnessed growth in their ad slots. There has been a 50% increase in ad volume with 140 advertisers.

Telugu news has seen a 16% increase in their daily ads from June to July. In April, there has been a considerable rise of 26%. The advertisers grew by 24% from June to July. 28% share of Ad volumes are filled by the top ten advertisers in Telugu.

In Tamil news channels, the ad volume grew by 7% recently. They have witnessed a 7% decline in the brands and a 5% increase in advertisers. The top 10 advertisers fill 25% of the ad volume. Marathi news saw a decline of 6% in the month of July and it attained a sudden surge in April. The top 10 advertisers hold 41% place in the total ad volume.
