Sazerac names Kunal Sharma as Managing Director, India

Sazerac Company has appointed Kunal Sharma as Managing Director for its India business, the executive announced on LinkedIn on 14 September 2026.

As Country Head, Sharma said he will lead Sazerac’s India business and shaping its next phase of profitable growth with a portfolio of iconic brands including Paul John, BuzzBallz, Buffalo Trace, Weller and Fireball. Sharma will be based in Bengaluru and will oversee the company’s India operations and portfolio, which also includes Sazerac Rye.

Before joining Sazerac, Sharma spent nearly five years at Bimbo Bakeries India, where he served as Senior Director and Head of Sales from November 2021 to August 2026. In an earlier LinkedIn post, he described the move as closing his innings at Bimbo Bakeries India after four and a half years.

Prior to Bimbo Bakeries India, Sharma worked with PepsiCo for more than 16 years across sales, marketing, business development and general management roles. His profile there included stints as Sales Director for North India, Sales Director for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, and Associate Director of Go-To-Market, among other commercial leadership positions. Sharma holds an MBA from the Nirma Institute of Management.

Sazerac is a privately held United States spirits company that has been expanding its footprint in India through its association with John Distilleries.
