Although these issues have been core to my purpose for many years and they were an important element of my work, I want to make them my sole focus,” said Antonio in his statement.

A homegrown new-age Facebook-type social media app, Explurger, is produced by the Indian Startup Ecosystem which has been built on artificial intelligence. The App allows the user to celebrate life with friends and family as no other social media app does and it is packed with exciting features for the world to connect on.

It empowers the user to go beyond check-ins and the obvious. “As you share pictures and videos, the AI of this sleek app automatically creates a Travelogue for you, keeping a count of the exact miles, cities, countries, and continents you travel to. You can even create a Bucket List of place you wish to visit and share your future travel plans with fellow Explurgers,” the statement said.

What makes this app stand out is the developer of Explurger and leading entrepreneur, Jitin, has harnessed the power of cutting-edge Indian IT. To build this innovative social media app, he has supplemented it with his own experience of software development which is at par with the leading social media platforms in the world.

To have a unique experience with the Facebook-like App users are bound as its features are unparalleled, like the Explurger levels. For a higher Explurger level, users can compete as they share their life with friends and family. Every mile the user travels, cities visited, post one spreads, or Kudos one accumulates, the excitement goes up, and so does one’s Explurger level – Cobalt, Silver, Gold, Spectra, Spectra prime and so on!

Jitin always aspired to give Indians a global platform where they can share their stories, connect with people, show off the miles they have traveled or make a travelogue on the go. He came up with Explurger to reach out to the people.

Download Explurger today and enjoy the experience.

Facebook has seen a downfall in its ad revenue with big global corporations pulling out their ads from social media platforms owning to the increasing hate speech on Facebook and Instagram. Not only this but along with the big corporation their Indian Arms have also been doing the same for over a month. The move to boycott these social media platforms has gained its speed when companies around the globe have decided that they will not avail of these social media platforms for their advertisements as they are in search of more accountability towards hate speech discrimination and misinformation. The issue gave rise to so much concern that companies such as Diageo, PepsiCo, Levi’s, and Coca-Cola have paused their paid promotion activities, on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.

Levi’s, the well-known apparel brand that had earlier stopped its advertisement in social media platforms, is planning to resume its advertisement earlier this month. Company executives and brand experts are speculating that this disengagement is temporary in nature and brands would make a comeback, but it will take some time for things to normalize.

“This will continue for some time and one needs to see what action needs to be taken. Facebook does need to get its act together. They are getting into controversies too often; better stakeholder management is required,” said an executive at a packaged goods company.

The digital advertising market in India is growing at a fast speed and is estimated to reach 17000 crores with brands which are engaged on multiple platforms like Facebook, Google search, YouTube banners other than engagement in Instagram and Twitter, but there is still a concern which revolves towards the spread of fake news, hate speech, and content moderation.

As per a recent article in the wall street journal, the Facebook executive in India took the matter of hateful posts by the members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party lightly, which made the Congress party inform Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg about the hateful posts and urged him to look into the allegations. On 1st of July, Facebook blogpost, Nick Clegg, vice-president, global affairs and communications, Facebook, said that: “Billions of people use Facebook and Instagram because they have good experiences — they don’t want to see hateful content, our advertisers don’t want to see it, and we don’t want to see it. There is no incentive for us to do anything but remove it. Facebook does not profit from hate.”

Facebook is planning to introduce a new feature in its platform called the ‘Paid Online Events’ which will help Page owners on Facebook to host online events as well as collect payments for the same. The feature of Paid Online Events is currently available on Facebook pages in around 20 countries including India. In case the user has not used any of the monetized products before then, the page will go for a review first and if the page is not available the user will get a notification for the same and a set of instructions on how one can reapply for the same.

For transactions in Android and Web in countries where Facebook Pay is available the platform will not collect any fees from small businesses and creators for the next year.  Small businesses will get an advantage to keep 100% of the revenue generated from paid online events. On the other hand, SMB’s will get 70% of the revenue generated from the App Store after 30% of it is reduced in the form of App Store Tax this has been done because Facebook Pay is not available on iOS. These days saw a rise in the number of educators, media publishers, creators, and brands who have been using the online platforms to conduct webinars, virtual concerts, training sessions, events, and much more, keeping the norms of social distancing intact.

In earlier times, paid events were held on video conferencing platforms which used to generate a unique link to the participants and payments went to third party services.

Facebook has channelized its efforts to bring this together into one place. As now most of the paid events are promoted on Facebook,  it has become very easy for the participants to get a chance to participate in the events as everything is available on the same platform and in one place.

The social networking platform has also improvised its Chat Plugin feature which enables businesses to chat with their customers on the website without logging themselves into Facebook, with the up-gradation process in place non-Facebook consumers can also get a solution for their issue.

State Bank of India in its next move has made sure that people get access to an easy banking service from the comfort of their homes. This step from SBI is a part of the campaign launched by the bank called #GharSeBanking aiming to ease down the banking process during the lockdown. SBI has been relentlessly trying to encourage people to download the SBI YONO App through social media and other digital mediums. This has proved to be a very effective way to drive people to download and adapt the YONO, YONO Lite, SBI Quick, BHIM SBI Pay, and Online SBI. All these apps function by leveraging conversational AI and conversational marketing via Facebook Messenger.

YONO which stands for (You Only Need One) has been rated as SBI’s one-stop solution to fulfill all banking and lifestyle needs. It is an integrated platform and is offered by SBI across Android, iOS, and web which enables the user to get along with banking and a variety of other financial services along with other features like travel bookings, online shopping, and purchase of groceries, medicines, etc.

As the pandemic situation is worsening day by day SBI needs to swiftly react to the situation and make an appeal to its customers to download the YONO and another app for an undisrupted banking experience and lead in the world of digital banking. As customers find it easy to visit a bank branch for their daily banking needs rather than doing it on an App, SBI has chalked out measures that can give a similar customer interactive experience to the users. This is where conversational marketing shows its effectiveness.
The Conversational form of marketing is powered by AI and is the fastest way to reach people as this form of marketing brings up the power of real-time conversations and delivers the message in a personalized manner.

In case of SBI, its conversation flows via Facebook Messenger and give people the option to download the YONO and other related Apps, and also find out more about the app features, and explore various other SBI Apps.

Ravindra Pandey, Deputy Managing Director (Strategy) and Chief Digital Officer said, “Our customers share a close bond with us. They like to interact with us at the branches and this conversation plays an integral role in their overall banking experience. When COVID-19 disrupted their visits to our branches though we continued to remain open, we were very keen on ensuring that we create a similar conversational experience for our customers. The conversational marketing campaign was delivered through Click-to-Messenger ads, and helped to provide an instant and personal experience. More than half-a-million people have so far started conversations on Facebook Messenger as a part of the #GharSeBanking campaign resulting in a strong response to YONO and other app downloads.”

Gaurav Khurana, Vertical Head for Financial Services at Facebook India said, “A Facebook-Boston Consulting Group research study has revealed that consumers are “bringing the outside inside” and thereby embracing digital services and experiences very rapidly since the pandemic began. SBI swiftly built for emerging consumer trends by building a conversational experience to help consumers get access to banking. They were thus able to provide an uninterrupted banking service through the YONO App to the millions of Indians who rely on them for their daily banking needs. In times of physical distancing, it’s essential to stay in touch with the customer, consequently, conversational marketing digital solutions such as Facebook Messenger can prove to be very effective right now.”

Rubeena Singh, CEO, iProspect said, “The pandemic has caused a behavioral change in the way customers bank. Messaging and communication apps have also seen a huge spike in usage as consumers use these apps to connect with businesses besides family and friends. SBI leveraged this opportunity on Facebook Messenger by reaching out to their consumers to create direct and one-to-one communication and help them with their banking needs. This unique approach of leveraging conversational AI within FB Messenger is a paradigm shift in scaling digital transformation at a large BFSI player such as State Bank Of India, thus helping it seamlessly enter the homes and lives of its consumers. Truly #GharSeBanking.”

ONE Championship, Singapore-based martial arts organization with its core focus on revolutionizing the Mixed Martial Arts industry in Asia and to ramp up the sport in India, has broken into the Top 10 Most Engaging Sports Profiles on Facebook Worldwide, according to figures released by Socialbakers.

The data was collected between 1 January and 30 June 2020 by the global AI-powered social media marketing company that serves thousands of brands including over 100 companies on the list of Fortune Global 500.

As the only Asian representative and martial arts property on the list, ONE secured the eighth spot overall. The Top 10 is mostly dominated by football organizations, featuring some of the most high-profile sports properties in the world, including Manchester United, Liverpool FC, International Cricket Council (ICC), and LaLiga among others.

Commenting on the prestigious occasion, Hari Vijayarajan – CCO, ONE Championship – India said, “Being one of the youngest global sports media properties at only 9 years old, it gives us immense pride to be ranked #8 global sports media property from January to June 2020 in terms of engagement on Facebook in the report released by Socialbakers. As more than 80% of our fans are millennials and Gen-Z, it’s very important for ONE to drive authentic engagement at scale on social and digital media where a majority of our fans live and create magical memories for them.

In the last 10 years, the fandom for mixed martial arts has increased through leaps and bounds. Also, there are a whole lot of Asian countries like India where the sport has just managed to touch the tip of the iceberg. The scope to bolster mixed martial arts as a sport in India is immense as the second-most populous country in the world with over 65% of the population under the age of 35 years and average Indian spending over 3.5 hours a day on their smartphone. In the last two years viewership from India has also exploded exponentially with homegrown talent like Ritu Phogat, Arjan Bhallar, and Puja Tomar, among others, placing the country on the global map. We will continue to make long term investments to maximize the reach and frequency of mixed martial arts, creating a lineup of rising stars enabling us to make mixed martial arts a mainstream sport across the world, and countries like India continue to remain our core strategic market.

Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO – ONE Championship said, “Thank you to the greatest fans in the world for inspiring me and my team to dream more, do more, and be more in life!”
While we’re very proud of standing shoulder to shoulder with NBA, NFL, etc., we know we have a lot of work still to be done to someday become #1.”

In 2019, in terms of online viewership Tubular Labs hailed ONE Championship as the #4 global sports media property. By the time ONE features the world’s most exciting martial arts action and enjoys a massive fan base not only in Asia but also across Europe and South America. It broadcasts events to 150 countries through free-to-air, linear, and digital channels, and its global footprint projects over 2.7 billion potential viewers worldwide. The promotion has a passionate following among key demographics on social media, particularly on Facebook and Youtube.
