After the lockdown began, people were restricted to travel and were confined to their homes. Due to this, there was a rapid downfall in the sales of automobiles. With easing lockdown restrictions in June, the automobile brands are boosting their strategies to increase sales.
Since there was no use of vehicles, people were having trouble like vehicles with the funky smell, dead batteries, malfunctioning of AC units, and so on. Some brands have offered assistance through their campaigns about how to take care of the vehicles during the lockdown.
Now the brands have stepped up their games to match the requirements of the customers after lockdown. Famous brands are launching campaigns with famous personalities to grab the attention of their customers. Brands like TVS Motor have planned a new campaign with Amitabh Bachchan and MS Dhoni. Hyundai has released a new song “Haq Hai Humara” with its celebrity ambassador Shah Rukh Khan.
Mercedes Benz has launched a campaign called “Merc from Home ” when the lockdown started and their motto was to make people aware of the situation and keep them informed as said by the Vice President of Sale and Marketing, Santhosh Iyer. The companies are promoting safe and secured transport through the idea of “solo mobility” and also online order placements through their digital marketing campaigns.
