VIVO To Continue As IPL 2020’s Title Sponsor
Due to the pandemic, every show was delayed from their regular schedules. On that note, the Indian Premier League will commence from September 19 with VIVO as their title sponsor this year.
Due to the border breach in the Indo-China border, which led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers the board has to rethink the sponsorship collaborations. The BCCI announced this statement in their Twitter handle on June 19 and said the decision would be made in the meeting held in the following week.
As a result, they have announced that VIVO would be the official title sponsor of the IPL this year too. “The BCCI has taken this decision after the perusal of the sponsorship agreement and the ownership pattern and upon receiving legal advice in the matter,” stated an official member of the organization.
The board has also announced that the league will have 10 doubleheaders and the league will be held from September 19 to November 10. The timings are as usual where the afternoon matches will start by 3: 30 PM and evening matches by 7: 30 PM.
Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai are the places where the matches will be held this year due to the COVID pandemic.
