Tata Sky Partners With Zee5 to Strengthen Binge+

A new partnership has come up between Tata Sky and ZEE5, with an aim to strengthen Tata Sky’s OTT offerings. Tata Sky’s Binge+, known for its Android-enabled smart Set-top box, provides content from linear Live Television and a host of OTT apps onto a TV, which led to this tie-up.

As per the deal, TATA Sky Binge+ will let its subscribers get access to ZEE5’s content, which has a time span of more than 125,000 hours and are available in a list of 12 languages – English, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, and Punjabi. This offering to the viewers will be in addition to what was already available in the platform which includes multi-lingual films, original dramas, international movies, and reality shows from India’s top-rated  OTT platforms. As per Tata Sky, Tata Sky Binge+ comes with a lot of advanced features that enable viewers, to enjoy shows, movies, music, and also games on their laptop, tablet, mobile phone or watch it directly on their TV with its in-built Chromecast.

Tata Sky spokesperson said, “OTT apps are gaining ground as a popular medium of content consumption. Considering the stupendous response we have received from the viewers for the fully integrated Tata Sky Binge+ set-top box, we are now strengthening this offering further by bringing onboard ZEE5’s unmatched content library that will further elevate the content viewing experience for our subscribers,”
