Zee5 India Recruits Manish Kalra As Senior Vice President & Business Head, AVOD

A change in management has been seen in Zee5 with the appointment of Manish Kalra as the lead person for their AVOD services holding the designation of Senior Vice President and Business Head. Zee5 is famed as India’s Entertainment Super-App, which has in reality revolutionized the process of digital video entertainment, the change in management has been primarily focussed to accelerate the next level of growth for the brand. 

Manish has worked in the field of online business and marketing for the past 19 years and believes that teams with a strong understanding of customer behavior and customer-centric approach can prove themselves as the key factors which ensure a successful business. 

His new role brings with itself a new responsibility for the entire AVOD business, platform development, and content marketing strategies, strategy for user acquisition and retention, campaigns as well as partnerships and alliance for distribution and consumption of the AVOD content on the platform and also ensuring the overall growth for the brand. His past experiences over the last 10 years include roles in key positions like CMO, CBO, and CEO in various online organizations like Amazon, MakeMyTrip.com, Craftsvilla.com, and Homeshop18.

Talking about his educational background he holds an MBA degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and also a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
